Asst Prof David Teo Choon Liang (CGH)
Dr David Teo is a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist with the Department of Psychological Medicine and Department of Sleep Medicine, Surgery and Science at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He heads CGH’s Health Wellness Programme (ASCAT CGH) and Medical Humanities programme. His subspecialty interests are in treating mental health and sleep conditions in youth and the medically ill, mood and anxiety disorders, psychosomatic medicine, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. As a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, he is experienced in combining medications and psychotherapy in the holistic treatment of a broad range of mental disorders across the life span.
Clin Assoc Prof Yap Jiunn Liang Jonathan (NHC)
Clinical Associate Professor Jonathan Yap is a Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at NHCS. His sub-specialty interest is in interventional cardiology, pulmonary hypertension and structural heart disease including transcatheter aortic valve interventions (TAVI) for aortic stenosis and percutaneous left atrial appendage closure for atrial fibrillation. He spent a year in the United States performing his advanced fellowship in structural heart interventions at UC Davis Health, a high-volume tertiary cardiac centre.
Clin Assoc Prof Yap has a keen interest in education and research. Besides being the Director of Medical Student Training, he is actively involved in several ongoing research projects and has published extensively in many international scientific journals. He is also the editor of an electrocardiogram (ECG) teaching app.
Dr Elvina Tay (JCH)
Dr Elvina Tay is a Consultant in the Department of Post-Acute & Continuing Care at Jurong Community Hospital and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. She has keen interest in research and was previously awarded the NHG-LKC Medicine Clinician-Scientist Preparatory Programme (CSPP) award. She has also previously served as an executive committee member, Treasurer, for the Society of Rehabilitation Medicine (Singapore) (SRMS). Her key interests are in neurorehabilitation particularly in stroke and traumatic brain injury.
Dr Xu Huiying (TTSH)
Dr Xu Huiying is a senior consultant in the department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. After receiving specialist accreditations in Respiratory Medicine as well as Intensive Care Medicine in 2014 and 2015 respectively, she underwent fellowship training in the Royal Brompton Hospital (London, UK) and Imperial College London (UK) in advanced Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COPD) and Adult Intensive Care/Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)/critical care ultrasonography. Apart from her clinical interests in COPD and intensive care medicine, she is also passionate about medical education and is currently holding appointments as Programme Director, NHG Respiratory Medicine residency and Clinical Assistant Professor, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS.
